Grateful
Cara, a friend of a friend, has a lovely Blog which has a light innocent quality that is also cryptic in its observations of life and love and work. Everyday she composes a list of things to be grateful or thankful for and she asked on Facebook if others also had a list. So in the spirit of her blog and feeling a certain sea-change happening at the moment, I put my cynicism in a sealed jar for a few minutes and composed my own.
- I am grateful that I met Ploy...
- ...and I found the courage to speak to her.
- I am thankful we own our lovely house.
- I am thankful that we had the courage to move to Thailand and to weather its storms.
- I am thankful I have been able to run my own business and make some small success of it.
- I am grateful I have a modicum of intelligence.
- I am thankful I am healthy.
- I am grateful I can appreciate great art and music.
- I am thankful I can enjoy good food and wine.
- I am grateful I can still be excited by little things.
